The Big Match

Have you ever fancied going to the Euro football finals? How about the British Grand Prix or the Rugby World Cup Final? Well, these are just some of the amazing prizes up for grabs in the latest multi-channel that Big Match promotional campaign that Public have recently produced for Hep2O.  As the UK’s largest plumbing brand – with a market share of around 40% – Hep2O is part of the Wavin group.  

Public have been working with Wavin and helping to increase brand awareness and market share for their various brands since 2009. After research conducted by Public identified the need for Hep2O to re-connect with their core installer market, an initial launch campaign was created.  Using strong, clear and highly visual messages – the Big Match campaign was designed to help Wavin build a database of customer information that would enable ongoing communications, help build brand loyalty and gain valuable customer insight. Now in it’s third year, the Big Match campaign has gone from strength to strength.    

A heavyweight press campaign was produced to feature in leading trade titles along with a radio campaign to appear during Talk Sport’s drive time shows. An increased presence in Merchants has been achieved again this year with an extensive POS campaign. An online campaign has been created – including a fully-animated promotional film, produced to feature on the Hep2O Big Match website  and this has been supported by an email campaign.  

Instant win prizes were created for the promotion which not only rewarded plumbers for registering their details, it also allowed Hep2O to capture valuable data and feedback from their customers. A weekly prize draw is also up for grabs – offering rugby shirts, football shirts and track days. And this year, each month throughout the three month campaign, one lucky plumber will have the opportunity to win a once in a lifetime experience of either the Ruby World Cup Final, The British Grand Prix or The Euro 2016 finals. It’s Hep2O’s biggest ever prize give-away and is already proving popular.

Big Match is in it’s third year and we have used our learnings to develop and improve the promotional elements to deliver a great measurable result which has increased year on year. We see Public as a true extension of our team, who really care about our brands, and deliver original creative ideas which translate to quantifiable results”.  

As a result, Public have helped Hep2O increase their brand presence for the third year running – and so far, this year’s Big Match promotion is set to be the most successful one yet.
